What do you look for in your local petshop?

Would love to hear from you all ;)  When I say petshop I mean the supplies end not a petshop with animals in it :)

I know when I go to a petshop over here I find it very hard to find what I am looking for and usually end up going to either Ebay/Amazon or an overseas online petshop :( 

I would LOVE to know as I am working on a project at the moment but need a lot of feedback before I decide if I will go ahead with it.
